Bio: Cynthia Blaise is an award-winning actor, director and voice and speech trainer. She holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Oregon, and an MFA in Acting for University of California Irvine, where she studied under the renowned director Jerzey Grotowski. A Certified Associate in Fitzmaurice voice work, she has taught voice, speech, and acting for 14 years across the country including Temple University, Wayne State University and the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a professor, Blaise presented numerous papers and workshops at VASTA and ATHE conferences. A sampling of academic directing credits include The Cripple of Inishmaan, Equus and Crimes of the Heart. Based in Los Angles since 2005, Blaise has worked as a dialect coach in Film and TV with credits including Bad Teacher, Five Year Engagement, Touch and American Horror Story. Cynthia continues to act and teach as her schedule allows.
