Bio: Julia Lenardon is a professional actress and independent professional voice/speech and dialect coach and instructor in Montreal, Quebec in both the Anglophone and Francophone worlds of theatre and film. As an actor, Julia trained at the University of Windsor, Ontario and The Webber Douglas Academy in London, England. As a voice professional, Julia trained for her MFA in Acting and Voice Teaching Diploma under David Smukler at York University, Toronto, Ontario and the The Canadian National Voice Intensive. She did a second Voice/Speech apprenticeship under Gary Logan at the Denver Centre Theatre Company. Teaching positions include: Visiting Professor of Voice/Speech and Dialects, The American Repertory Theatre (ART) and The Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University, Assistant Professor of Voice/Speech/Acting at Michigan State University and seven years as Voice/Speech/Text Instructor and coach at The National Theatre School of Canada. Professional theatre coaching includes: Doubt (Centaur Theatre), Old Wicked Songs (Segal Centre). Julia is a member of VASTA (Voice and Speech Trainers Association). Julia at the moment, runs her own private coaching practice for actors, business people, teachers etc. and coaches professionally in theatre and film. Recent film projects include: Emotional Arithmetic, Immortals, Voyez Comme Ils Dansent, Assassins’ Creed 2 & Brotherhood (Ubisoft), and On the Road.
