Bio: Sandra Lindberg was Associate Professor of Theatre at Illinois Wesleyan University until taking early retirement to raise her voice in new ways. These days she rides her bike to work where she contributes paralegal skills to an Illinois law firm specializing in municipal law. She also works locally on environmental and social justice efforts, currently serving on the strategy team for Illinois People’s Action’s Ban Fracking campaign. On a personal level she and her husband and son remodel their home to reduce its carbon footprint, grow their own fruits and vegetables, and support local businesses and cooperatives. She belongs to a Transition Town mulling group called Vision 2020 whose members teach and learn life skills useful for challenges posed by climate change, peak oil and worldwide economic contraction.
