Received Pronunciation (RP) collection grows
Most of IDEA’s samples are linked to a specific place, with that place marked on our Global Map. But did you know the archive contains Special Collections too? One of those collections offers recordings of professional speech teachers demonstrating Received Pronunciation (the most commonly accepted English dialect of the 19th and 20th centuries and an essential sound for any actor’s toolkit) in a reading of Comma Gets a Cure. And we have just added a fifth recording to that collection, from Elizabeth Suzuma. Go here to listen.
